Kuhn Construction Staff

Richard Kuhn
CEO
Richard Kuhn
As the fifth generation of KCCI, I have been working for the company for over twenty-six years. I started as my father’s apprentice, and after four years I took over the company. My love for this job comes in finishing a project and making the home look as if we were never there, the new flowing seamlessly into the old.

My family is extremely important to me. My wife, Mary Jane, and I have two lovely daughters with two wonderful families. Jodie and Chris Allen with my first grandchild, Bailey Smith Allen, and Abbie and Chris Enlund. Along with my family, I have a true passion for helping people who need and want help. I do this with Habitat for Humanity, Rebuilding Together - St. Louis and Art & Air. I also love birding, kayaking, and just being outdoors enjoying nature.

Shortly after Rick and I married he took over KCCI, so essentially I’ve been working for the company for twenty-six years also. I am the President and my responsibilities include all the typing, bill paying, payroll, website coordination, and advertising. My degree is in social work, so this job has truly been a “learn as you go!” Over the years my love for the finished product has grown. I enjoy watching an old house get a brand new look!

My family is the highlight of my life. We have two beautiful daughters, two handsome sons-in-law, and one very special granddaughter. When I’m not taking care of my growing family, I serve on the board of Episcopal City Mission. We provide chaplain for children in detention centers in St. Louis city and county. And I love my church - Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Webster Groves. I also help Rick with all of his interests; Art & Air, Habitat and Rebuilding Together.

Toby Wood
Lead Carpenter

I started with KCCI a little over five years ago after working in the billing department of MCI/World Com. Currently I am the lead carpenter and project manager for most of our jobs. I also do most of the custom cabinetry for KCCI, which is rapidly becoming a passion of mine. My stepson, Frank, works with me and is learning to love cabinet making also. I couldn’t be more proud! Working for a company like this I have learned to love the variety presented to me each day in the challenges we face working in one hundred year old homes.

Right now I have three generations living under one roof! There are children from age six to twenty three, plus two birds, one cat and two dogs. Needless to say we have a busy household! Outside of my hectic family life, I love working in all things automotive and enjoy spending what time I can volunteering for Habitat for Humanity and Rebuilding Together - St. Louis.

Kurt Bethel
Project Manager
Kurt Bethel
I started at KCCI about four years ago after being the store manager of a Blockbuster Video. My role with this company is essentially a chameleon. I am a project manager, I’m responsible for scheduling, managing projects and I do some bidding and estimating. I truly enjoy working with our customers and seeing the satisfaction they have when the job is complete.

I married my beautiful bride, Beth, on July 8, 2005. So far we have no dogs, cats or kids! Aside from my full-time job with KCCI and spending time with Beth, I also work part-time as the Director of Worship at Redeemer Evangelical Church.

Frank Randazzo
Carpenter Apprentice
Frank Randazzo
I have been working for KCCI for about a year and a half. I came onto the job with no prior experience and have learned a lot being a laborer and apprentice carpenter. My favorite part of the job is cabinet making and finish work.

I have a very big family and we’re all very close. In fact, Toby is my step-dad! Working together has been an amazing experience! Aside from my family, I love playing sports and hanging out with my friends.

Jodie Kuhn Allen
Marketing and Design Director

I have been with the company for three years, although as Rick and MJ's daughter, it's more like 27! I am in charge of designing all the advertisements, updating the website, and creating promotional materials. Basically, anything creative ends up in my lap!

My husband, Chris, and I just moved back home from Spokane, Washington this past summer. Chris is teaching and coaching at Webster High School. We have an 18 month old daughter, Bailey and a 2 month old daughter, Parker. Being back home near both sets of Grandparents is wonderful!
